The goal of cadeting is "Helping boys to grow more Christ-like in all areas of life." Through Bible study and discussion, boys discover who God is and how he works in their lives. Merit badges, woodworking, kub kars, Snow Derby, Cadet-A-Rama, camping and other fun activities encourage them to explore and develop their God-given talents.
Cadet meetings are held every Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We meet at Emmanuel Reformed Church, on Clarke Street North, across from Huron Park Secondary School. All boys aged 7 to 14 are invited to join us for an evening of Bible study, merit badges, woodworking and other fun activities.
The theme for 2016 is "Get In the Game", based on Hebrews 12 verses 1 and 2. '"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.".'
Our season begins again on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. We would love to have you join us.
