The Regional Synod of Canada
The Regional Synod of Canada (RSC) is one of eight regional synods in the Reformed Church in America. Consisting of three Presbyterian-styled classes and 46 congregations (both officially established congregations and developing congregations), we are part of the historic church of Jesus Christ and under his leadership; we recognize the Bible as God's holy, inspired Word to the entire world; we are empowered by the Holy Spirit; and we are eager to discover new (and old) ways to please God. The Regional Synod of Canada provides spiritual and practical leadership by shepherding leaders, congregations and classes. They cast the vision of the Synod, coordinate new church developments and serves as a catalyst for congregation renewal.
We believe in the historic Christian faith as confessed by believers through the ages. The Reformed church accepts the three universal creeds which arose in the early church: the Apostles Creed, the Athanasian Creed, and the Nicene Creed. In addition to these creeds there are three confessional statements which set forth the faith of the Reformed Church: the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dort. In 1978 the Reformed Church approved Our Song of Hope as a contemporary statement of faith in its ministry of witness, teaching, and worship.

Our Mission Statement
The Reformed Church in America is a fellowship of congregations called by God and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be the very presence of Jesus Christ in the world. Our shared task is to equip congregations for ministry--a thousand churches in a million ways doing one thing--following Christ in mission, in a lost and broken world so loved by God.
